CHESTER shows what wool can do. Wool can be shorn, spun, woven and rolled to create a hard-wearing fabric with a warm natural feel.

The patterns and colours derive from the Scottish Highlands, redolent of log fires, whisky and moorland: a large window pane check, Gingham in three colours and two large complex checks reminiscent of classic tartans; and also, of course, herringbone and mottled plain.

Two chenille qualities provide a strong contrast to the loden cloth: they are soft and have an ornamental texture.
